SSE is a collaborative, reflective, inclusive process of internal school review. During SSE, the principal, deputy principal and teachers, under the direction of the board of management and the patron, and in consultation with the parents and pupils, engage in reflective enquiry on the work of the school. School self-evaluation is primarily about school improvement and development.

We have chosen Gaeilge Neamhfhoirmiúil as our area for improvement. Over the next two years we will be putting actions in place to improve the use of spoken Gaeilge in our school and our children's confidence to use Irish on a regular basis both 'ar scoil agus sa bhaile'. We will be updating parents regularly through our monthly newsletters and the website. For the months of March and April we will be focusing on encouraging the children to use Gaeilge 'ar maidin' (in the morning), and during the months of May and June the focus will move to 'am lón' (at lunch-time).
