Butterfly Lifecycle Art

Junior and Senior Infants used a collection of materials to show the lifecycle of a butterfly.

We used different shapes of pasta and rice to show the stages of growth.

Stage 1: Egg (a grain of rice)

Stage 2: Caterpillar (Fusilli pasta to show the shape of a caterpillar)

Stage 3: Chrysalis (Conchiglie pasta as the shell or cocoon)

Stage 4: Butterfly (Farfalle pasta perfectly captured the shape of a butterfly)
