This month we have been learning all about space. We made rockets, night skies and the planets in Art. We tried to rescue stars from ice using warm water and salt. We loved reading Whatever Next by Jill Murphy and enjoyed acting it out. We had lots of fun in our space station pretending to be astronauts. We learned all about the planets and practised ordering them by size.

We love to measure the length of different things around the school using cubes. Here are a few pictures of our investigations.

Today we were doing an experiment to see how salt can melt ice so we could free our alien friends from the ice blocks.

We are loving learning all about space this month. We even made these friendly aliens in their spaceships.

Pupils in 3rd and 4th Class are enjoying working in teams researching different aspects of "Ancient Greece". Using books, laptops and iPads we have been improving our fact finding skills and learning how to access reliable sources when looking for information online.

Junior & Senior Infants set out in groups to find as many 3D shapes as they could around the school. They had so much fun!
