4th Class had lots of fun creating their own class lava lamp using a bottle, oil, water and food colouring during Science week. Our predictions about what would happen when we added effervescent tablets were very interesting!!

This year for Science Week we looked at the strand from the science curriculum called light The curriculum invites us to: -- explore dark and bright colours and become aware of different shades of colour -- sort objects into sets according to colour -- identify and name different colours We used the book Mix It Up to inspire us to mix colours. We made links with the SPHE and Art curricula by reading The Colour Monster and creating our own colourful monsters.
